The night Nick had his online bull sale and Maternal Made was selling in it, I said to him, "don't you think you should call John on this bull?" Nick said, "I thought about it but I would hate for that bull not to work out and have John give me shit all the time about the calves being shitty, but he said, I KNOW this bull is going to work and be big time someday, and someday he will want to buy this bull from me!"

That was a text I got from Jake Lee after the sale was done, it sent chills up my spine. While we were bidding and it was getting high I turned to Jeannie who was telling me to slow down and said, "This one's for Nick." I'm sure he was smiling down on Denver that night. Maternal Made took Denver by storm! There hasn't been one like him since Whiskey and he's started a fire that isn't soon going out anytime soon.
