There is one breed that we have not dibbled in at Griswold Cattle, they represent powerful genetics, thickness, maternal, and the type and kind we love, they just happen to come in a different color, WHITE.

We had the opportunity to sell a Cool Dot heifer in our sale from RJ, we saw some others sell and our interest was peaked as to just who this Cool Dot bull was.  His dam, Dotty from the famed Thomas Ranch has been a major donor, she was a national champion as a pair and supreme female at the ever competitive South Dakota state fair.  As her first daughters have hit production it’s clear that good looks and consistency run in the family.  Dotty is perfect uddered, good footed, and designed how a cow should be for longevity and productivity.  Cool Dot had the same competitive nature as his dam, he was Reserve in Louisville, won his Division at OKC and Denver.  He has never had his feet touched and every toe points the right way, is the right size, and hits the ground where they should.  He is TA FREE which is huge in the Charolais world right now.  One daughter brought $90,000 and was reserve in Denver as a heifer, RJ sold one for $38,500 for half, and another for $54,000. 

This bull is one that has traveled under the radar, working cows in commercial cow country, he needs used.  We jumped off a cliff and bought our first four Charolais donors, the first bull we flushed to was Cool Dot.  Jump on board.
